ACEO trade - Animalartist16by *Kamakru

Traditional Art / Paintings / Fantasy

Here's the other character that I ended up going with for the two trades. His name is Barbarus!
(I went back and added the missing stripes on his right side, oops!)

This time I used watercolors and ink pen, with a touch of red marker (to liven it up) and some white gel pen.

ACEO size is 2.5x3.5 inches, Bristol Vellum surface
I used this stock photo for reference to help get the angle right.

This is so awesome! I love the pose and composition with the tail. I like how the background is faded, yet you can still see some little grasses and other land. The way you made the mane look like it's touching the water is nice as well.

Whoa, that looks really cool. I've never seen anyone draw a chimera in a normal, everyday pose. I love this! Nice touch with the hairs between the chinks in the tail, too!
