Made with deviantART muro

Another one =]
This is done in the same way as the Night Fire piece

Wanna see more stuff like this? Be sure to watch my scraps! This is the last Muro piece I'll submit to my gallery, unless it turns out...really really good. But otherwise all of these will go to scraps from now on.

Wow, that looks awesome!! I tried changing the opacity to add different shading effects like you do, but I have a lot of practice ahead of me in order to do it like you do. Amazing job!! I love how you colored the eyes.

Lots of practice is the key! Also with this technique you want to pick a really bright vibrant color for the low-opacity brush and just keep going over it until it slowly gets brighter. Lots of layers lol
Thank you! ^_^

I love dark-to-light drawings, especially when you get to watch it being made. I haven't done one in a very long time...you make me realize how out of practice I am lol. It is really awesome though!

Me too! I'm really starting to like the dark-to-light method. I guess it makes it easier because I only really have to worry about the lighting rather than the lighting and shading at the same time.
Haha yeah I'm really trying to push myself to practice more, and then I saw this DA muro (yeah, late to the party - as usual!) and it's really nice to just jump on if there's a few minutes to spare

I never really enjoyed DA Muro because it was like "Yeah, I have that even better, it's called Photoshop!!" but with the recording video thing it's cool to see the playback of the way you do things. I've done the dark-to-light thing once, with the scratch boards. Have you ever used those? It was a lot of fun, but it played with my sounds of nails of a chalkboard cringing issues lol.

Yeah Photoshop is extremely better to work with - but I guess it's the easy upload with video that intrigued me lol. If I could do that with photshop I totally would!
I tried scratch board in like...7th grade. I haven't used it since because well...I mess up a lot! I'd ruin it too fast xD

My high school art teacher shoved them on me my senior year. I was in his art class for the 2nd year in a row and he could tell I was way too advanced even the first year, so he had me be a "special" student where I got to do whatever I wanted in any medium as long as I had so many pieces done by the end of the year. He had a bunch of scratch boards sitting in his art room and said "HERE! I want you to use these." lol, I did pretty good though, I just didn't care for the actual scratching part.
